Drexel University seeks a Department Head to lead the Department of English and Philosophy, starting in September 2016. The Department is comprised of undergraduate programs in Literature, Writing, and Philosophy as well as a Master’s program in Publishing. The Department of English and Philosophy is also responsible for the teaching of writing across the curriculum and for the operation of the University’s Writing Center.
The Grand Valley State University Department of Writing seeks a tenure-track professor (assistant or associate professor rank) to begin in August 2016 and assume the directorship of our first-year writing program within one or two years. A Ph.D. with an emphasis in rhetoric/composition, writing studies, professional writing or a related field is required by time of employment. Candidates are required to have expertise or experience in writing program development and administration.
