The Department of English at the University of Kentucky has been authorized to fill a postdoctoral position for its Writing Program. This appointment, to begin 1 August 2006, is a two-year, non-renewable position with three-fold responsibilities: research, teaching, and Writing Program administration. A competitive salary includes benefits and travel funds. Applicants should be recent Ph.D.s in composition, creative writing, linguistics, literature, or film; experience in TA supervision and/or writing program administration is desirable. The Associate Director has a 1-1 teaching load and works closely with a faculty mentor on his or her own research or creative project while helping to supervise teaching assistants and part-time instructors and to develop mentor programs and in-service workshops.
