The TYCA-West conference was a wonderful event again this year. As always, terrific colleagues gathered at Salt Lake Community College for two days of highly interactive sessions, with plenty of opportunities for lively discussion.
At the July meeting in Albuquerque, the CWPA Executive Board voted to revise the membership fees, which had not been adjusted in many years.
Beginning September 1, 2012, CWPA membership rates will be as follows:
Graduate Students: $20
Not on Tenure Track: $20
Sustaining: $60 (voluntary)

As you may know, the Council of Writing Program Administrators is in the process of becoming incorporated. We would like to have the approval of our membership for the last stage of that process. Thus, the Council of Writing Program Administrators (the unincorporated association) will hold a vote of the membership by paper ballot at the 2012 Summer Conference, on the following question:
