Director of the Deborah S. Ellis Writing Center at Southwestern University

Southwestern University invites applications for the position of Director of the Deborah S. Ellis Writing Center (DEWC).  This is a 10-month, full-time staff position and is eligible for the University’s benefit programs.  Reporting to the Office of the Dean of the Faculty, the position provides leadership and is responsible for all operations of the DEWC and for supporting writing in the disciplines. The DEWC is an undergraduate-staffed writing center where peer tutors work with students on all levels, in all disciplines, and at all points in the writing process.

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - English

The Department of English at Lindenwood University invites applications for an assistant professor of rhetoric and composition. Teaching responsibilities include first-year and basic writing, as well as opportunities for teaching current and developing new upper-division rhetoric and composition courses for the new writing and professional communication minor program. As an encore performance, the CCCC Committee on the Status of Graduate Students (SOGS) and WPA-GO are co-sponsoring Mentoring @ Cs (M@Cs) in Houston, Texas! We welcome mentees and mentors with a wide range of interests within rhetoric and composition. Mentors and mentees will meet at the conference to chat over free food and drinks (at an evening social and/or a light breakfast) and/or attend a session of mutual interest.
