Thesis and Writing Center Specialist--Colorado College

A 12 month, full-time staff appointment, the Thesis and Writing Center Specialist will mentor thesis writers and writers across the curriculum in credit-bearing courses, interdisciplinary writing workshops, and in one-on-one tutorials, provide sustained tutorial support for students with writing challenges, and collaborate with colleagues on Writing Program and faculty development initiatives. 



Post Doc, First Year Writing Program - Barnard College

Barnard College invites applications for a three-year, non-renewable position as Post Doc in the First-Year Writing (FYW) Program. FYW teaches the skills of academic writing and critical inquiry to all Barnard students and prepares them for the rigors of Barnard’s liberal arts education in all disciplines. The Post Doc will teach a 2/2 course load in FYW and will work with the Director of FYW to develop new syllabi for the program.

Science Writing and Communication Lecturer - University of Colorado

The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EBIO) at the University of Colorado is seeking to hire a one-year, full-time writing lecturer to teach three courses per semester and perform service related to improving student writing skills.  We are looking for someone who has had experience teaching science writing and communication to undergraduates.  The courses to be taught build upon a long tradition of instructing science majors in the value of writing, follow established Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing in the Discipline (WAC/WID) protocols.


Visiting Instructor for Scientific and Academic Writing, Wesleyan University

Wesleyan University is seeking a part-time visiting instructor to teach two academic writing courses for the Fall 2016. One will be an undergraduate course called, "The Art of Scientific Writing" and the other, a graduate course covering the basics of scholarly writing at the graduate (MA and PhD) level.
