Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition
The Department of English, Speech, and Foreign Languages seeks applications for a renewable senior lecturer position. PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, English or closely related field required. The successful applicant will serve as Assistant Director of First-Year Composition to provide administrative support for a growing FYC program and teach a range of courses. We are a small, lively faculty that values collaboration and collegiality teaching on a diverse campus. We offer the BA in English, the MA in English, and the PhD in Rhetoric.

The Office of the Provost at the University of Virginia invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position to serve as Director of Writing across the Curriculum. The appointment begins with the fall term of 2018, with an anticipated start date of July 25, 2018. In addition to developing external funding to support research endeavors, candidates will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels and provide service to the University, Department and professional organizations.
