Last year St. John's University created the Institute for Writing Studies, a multimillion dollar facility housing the University's first First-Year Writing program, new Writing Centers on two campuses, and the University's first Writing Across the Curriculum program. The result is a newly formed community of dedicated writing specialists where all faculty, undergraduate Writing Center consultants, and graduate students are invited to participate in the organic development of this growing, multifaceted program.
