Executive Board, Council of Writing Program Administrators

In July 2018, the CWPA Executive Board will say goodbye to members Asao Inoue (University of Washington-Tacoma), Karen Keaton Jackson (North Carolina Central University), and Cheri Lemieux Spiegel (Northern Virginia Community College).

We therefore invite nominations for three new Executive Board members, each of whom will serve a three-year term beginning in July 2018.

Writing Program Director position (tenure-track) at Sonoma State University

Assistant Director of Writing Program

The University Writing Program in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (http://www.umass.edu/writingprogram/) invites applications for the Assistant Director at the rank of Lecturer.

This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) non-tenure track position with a start date of September 1, 2018. The position is renewable and requires a minimal summer commitment.

Assistant Professor of Writing and Rhetoric at Oakland University

Assistant Professor of Writing - First-Year Writing 

The Department of Writing and Rhetoric at Oakland University seeks applicants specializing in first-year writing for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 15, 2018.

The successful candidate will pursue an active research agenda in first-year writing, teach courses in the first-year writing and undergraduate major programs, and provide service to the department. Teaching load is competitive.

The English Department at Chapman University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Literature or Rhetoric with a specialization in Medieval Studies OR Twentieth-Century/Twenty-First-Century Studies (with a focus on Latinx Studies, African American/African Diasporic Studies, or Native American Studies).

CFS for Graduate Research Award for Writing in WPA (due January 15, 2018)!

The Council of Writing Program Administrators is pleased to announce the call for submissions for its award recognizing outstanding scholarship by graduate students writing on issues in writing program administration.

Submissions are due January 15, 2018 at 11:59pm (PST).

WPA-GO Social @ CWPA 2017

The Council of Writing Program Administrators Graduate Organization (WPA-GO) cordially invites all graduate students and faculty to join us for our annual CWPA social!
