Elon University’s Writing Excellence Initiative invites applications for a full-time, 9-month (August 2014 – May 2015) Visiting Senior Program Coordinator position in support of the Writing Center (www.elon.edu/writingcenter) and the Writing Across the University Program (www.elon.edu/cwe). The Writing Excellence Initiative is an innovative, institution-wide project designed to make writing a signature experience of every student’s Elon education.

The Writing Program Administrators Graduate Student Organization (WPA-GO) & the Council of Writing Program Administrators (CWPA) are pleased to offer at least six travel grants of $100 each to current graduate students presenting at the 2014 Council of Writing Program Administrators Conference, to be held July 17-20 in Normal, IL.

Writing Fellows, Haverford College

Haverford College will hire two Writing Fellows for the College Writing Program in academic year 2014-15. We solicit applications in different fields and disciplines in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. We are particularly interested in postdoctoral candidates who bring expertise in public speaking and oral communication; writing as social practice; science writing; or digital writing, etc., and who are prepared to teach a diverse student body.

The Winter 2014 (Vol. 18, Iss. 4) Issue of Academic Exchange Quarterly, an independent double-blind-peer-reviewed print journal, is now accepting submissions for its special section on Writing Center Theory and Practice. Articles may explore issues of theory, practice, and experience in writing center work, including qualitative and empirical studies and discussions of pedagogy.
