Position Summary Information
Haverford College will hire two Writing Fellows for the College Writing Program in academic year 2014-15. We solicit applications in different fields and disciplines in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. We are particularly interested in postdoctoral candidates who bring expertise in public speaking and oral communication; writing as social practice; science writing; or digital writing, etc., and who are prepared to teach a diverse student body.

Call for Papers Announcement:
The Winter 2014 (Vol. 18, Iss. 4) Issue of Academic Exchange Quarterly, an independent double-blind-peer-reviewed print journal, is now accepting submissions for its special section on Writing Center Theory and Practice. Articles may explore issues of theory, practice, and experience in writing center work, including qualitative and empirical studies and discussions of pedagogy.

The Saint Xavier University Department of English and Foreign Languages seeks to appoint a full time lecturer in rhetoric and composition for a one year position, with possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will contribute to a growing concentration in writing and rhetoric, demonstrate a commitment to excellent undergraduate instruction, and possess scholarly potential. Responsibilities include introductory courses in composition, upper-division writing and rhetoric courses, and special topics offerings in the candidate’s field of study. Teaching load is 12 hours per semester.
