Lecturer for University Writing Program

The University Writing Program at the University of California, Riverside, is seeking applicants for Lecturer positions this Winter and Spring Quarters, for part-time and full-time assignments in Freshman Composition and/or Entry-Level Writing classes, including ESL.  An M.A. and at least two years of teaching experience at the college level are required for these appointments. The Council of Writing Program Administrators seeks nominations for its Best Book Award for 2015. This award recognizes books whose authors or editors have made an outstanding contribution to the field of writing program administration over the past calendar year.

Assistant Professor of English – English Composition or Writing Studies

The Department of English in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma City University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2017. 

Primary teaching responsibilities include first-year writing courses with opportunities to teach in appropriate secondary area(s).  The required teaching load of 21credit hours per year will be adjusted for first academic year.

Qualifications

Assistant Professor and Director of Writing, Montana Tech

Tenure–track Assistant Professor and Director of Writing. Doctorate or ABD, completion within one year, in communication related field required. Experience with teaching introductory and upper division writing at the college level is also required. The positon is also responsible for directing, coordinating, budgeting, scheduling, and assessing writing instruction at all levels on the Montana Tech campuses. Successful applicants should demonstrate a commitment to student-centered learning and a knowledge of rhetorical principles, and their application to writing and writing instruction.

The Consortium for Critical Reading, Writing, and Thinking will present its fourth annual interdisciplinary conference on Friday, October 28, 2016. The primary objectives of this year's conference are to explore innovative pedagogical practices that both enrich and transcend traditional teaching methods, and to inspire a contemplative, cross-disciplinary dialogue regarding higher education in the twenty-first century.
