News & Announcements
I am a doctoral student at Old Dominion University and am researching composition pedagogical practices at Historically Black Colleges and Universitys (HBCUs). I am particularly interested in the textbooks these institutions use in their writing classes and would like to know if Teresa M. Redd's Revelations: An Anthology of Expository Essays by and about Blacks is in circulation. I would be extremely grateful to anyone who could provide me with some information concerning my inquiries.Thank you for your time!

CWPA 2015 Call for Proposals
July 12-19, 2015
***DEADLINE EXTENDED to NOV 7, 2014. Get your nominations in this week!***
In July 2015 the WPA-GO Graduate Committee (GC) will say goodbye to current members Christine Garcia, Brian Hendrickson, and Heather Stone; in addition, our current Chair, Al Harahap, will be moving into a special projects and advisory role rather than serving on the standing committees per the organization's succession plan. Therefore, we invite nominations for four new Graduate Committee members.
Don't forget the annual CWPA breakfast at C's! As usual, it will be held the Thursday morning of the conference before the opening session--this year, that's Thursday morning, March 19. We haven't yet finalized where it will be, but if you're up for good conversation, reconnecting with colleagues, making new contacts, and hearing more about the summer 2015 conference in Boise, save time to attend the breakfast. We hope to see you!

The most recent version of the WPA Outcomes Statement has been approved by the CWPA Executive Board and is available below. A contextualized version of the Statement, explaining the revision process, changes to the document, and why those changes were made will, we hope, appear in the next issue of WPA: Writing Program Administration. Thanks go to the members of the task force that revised this document: Darsie Bowden (chair), Dylan Dryer, Doug Downs, Susanmarie Harrington, Doug Hesse, Beth Brunk-Chavez, Joe Bizup, Kathleen Blake Yancey, Bump Halbritter, and Lisa Mahle-Grisez.
Thanks to all of you who attended the CWPA Conference at Illinois State University from July 17-20. It was a fabulous conference: the local committee, led by Joyce Walker, made it one of the most comfortable and welcoming conferences we've had in a while, and the plenary speakers--Doug Hesse, Melissa Ianetta, and Duane Roen-- stimulated lively discussion, as did the paper and panel presenters. Thanks, too, to our workshop leaders, Chuck Paine and Linda Adler-Kassner; and our institute leaders, Bob Broad, Diane Kelly-Riley, Beth Boquet, and Neal Lerner.
