Lecturer, English Composition
The English Department of Pace University (NYC campus) invites applicants to fill a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer position beginning September 2018. The position requires teaching 12 credits of composition courses each semester (fall and spring). Successful candidates will have experience teaching first-year writing, as well as experience or interest in learning communities with composition courses. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to current composition theory and practice. Experience teaching in diverse classrooms, teaching second language learners, and knowledge of pedagogical technology are all desirable.
Required qualifications include an MFA or PhD in English, composition, or related fields, ideally with some coursework completed in rhetoric and composition. Candidates should have a record of excellent teaching, especially in first-year courses.
