Assistant Professor in English, one of fourteen departments in the College of Arts & Sciences. Tenure-earning, beginning August 15, 2008. $42,500.
Assistant Writing Across the Curriculum Coordinator, responsible for Freshman/Sophomore WAC program, which includes Writing to Learn courses; will handle administrative duties and work in tandem with the WAC/WID coordinator on meetings and workshops; attend regular meetings of Faculty Senate WAC Committee. Half-time administering WAC, half-time teaching undergraduate and/or graduate English courses (2 courses/semester). Scholarly productivity, academic service expected.
Required: Ph. D. in Composition/Rhetoric or equivalent; academic background or experience with WAC or WID programs.
Preference given to candidates with college-level teaching experience, and academic background or teaching experience in one or more of Professional/Technical Writing, British Medieval literature, or Creative Writing.
