When Instructors Go Bad, Who Is Accountable for What, and What Are the Costs?

Abstract:

Taking one instance of composition instructor malfeasance as an example, my paper examines questions of accountability and cost savings in the post-Fordist model of higher education. It argues that those held the most accountable for current conditions in higher education tend to be those with the least power to effect positive change.
