The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, & Discourse at DePaul University invites applications for a tenure-track position in professional and technical writing at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in September 2010. We are particularly interested in candidates with research and pedagogical interests in new media. The ideal candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in professional and technical writing, and contribute to an innovative graduate program in New Media Studies. To support a growing department and reflect the current state of the discipline, the successful candidate will also have opportunities to develop new courses in their areas of expertise. Applicants must have the PhD--in rhetoric and composition, technical communication, or an appropriately related field--in hand by September 2010, demonstrated expertise in teaching, and an active scholarly agenda.
