Full-Time Lecturer-Northeastern University
The English Department of Northeastern University seeks to fill a benefits-eligible, full-time Lecturer position, beginning in September 2010. Lecturers teach six sections of required writing courses per year (three sections per semester), at a starting annual salary of $40,000. The successful candidate will have training and experience working effectively with English Language Learners (students for whom English is not their first or strongest language). Lecturers teach the required first-year and advanced writing courses, including courses in writing for the health professions, criminal justice professions, the humanities, the social sciences, and the sciences. Ph.D. or appropriate terminal degree in Rhetoric and Composition or related field required at the time of appointment.
