Scope of Job: Rhetoric and Composition: Assistant Professor, tenure-track position (2). The new hire will normally teach a minimum 3/3 load in a program rich in undergraduate and graduate courses in rhetoric, composition, and literacy studies, with the opportunity to tailor and develop courses according to his/her strengths and interests. The MA track in rhetoric, composition, and literacy studies has emphases in pedagogy, discourse studies, and professional writing. Position begins Fall 2013.

We are looking for an energetic, collaborative, and productive colleague with a commitment to students’ success and an interest in contributing to and developing innovative initiatives and curricula in a university seeking the Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement as part of its strategic plan.
Required: • Education- Ph.D. in English or a related field required by August 2013.
Preferred: • Experience-Substantial experience teaching writing at the college level, as well as demonstrated success in or potential for scholarly activity in the discipline of rhetoric and composition.
