Writing Portfolio Coordinator

CT’s four-year women’s liberal arts college seeks an individual to monitor students’ progress in the college-wide writing portfolio program, evaluate portfolios, advise students about the quality of their writing portfolio submissions and conduct effective writing-across-the-curriculum tutorials. In addition, as a member of the Academic Resources Center, this professional will serve as liaison with other departments/faculty regarding the portfolio program and teach a writing or other relevant course as necessary. The position is full-time, 10 months.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in English or related field, successful experience with a writing portfolio assessment program or comparable writing assessment program, an excellent track record as a college-level instructor in the area of composition studies, demonstrated expertise in assessment of writing skills and superior written and oral communication skills. A proven record of excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, and organizational skills is also required.
