Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of English/Composition Studies at Elon University
ENGLISH Composition. Elon University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor in English, with a focus on composition studies, beginning mid-August 2015. The teaching load for this position is six courses annually. The candidate will principally teach multiple sections of Elon’s required first-year writing course, with the opportunity to teach other courses in English and in Elon’s interdisciplinary core curriculum. Opportunities for writing program leadership and teaching an introductory TESOL course are possible.
Requirements: Ph.D.in composition/rhetoric, a research focus in composition studies, and demonstrated professional commitment to and a record of excellence in teaching writing at the undergraduate level.
