Task Forces are commissioned ad hoc as necessary for special projects and specific objectives.

The Census Task Force: Graduate Program Data Collection was created during the 2016-2017 year and plans to continue throughout 2017-2018 to collect, analyze, and share data about working conditions of Graduate Student Instructors (GSI) in U.S. writing programs. The end project will allow for GSI's and Writing Program Administrators (WPA) to learn about the national trends regarding GSI compensation, benefits, and other working conditions. By making this data available to WPA's and GSI’s, we aim to encourage conversations—nationally and locally—about the working conditions of GSI’s. Activity spread throughout the year.
