Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-line Assistant or Associate Professor of English with a specialization in Technical Writing/Communication. Rank will be based on qualifications and experience.
In addition to maintaining an active research agenda, the new hire will have a 3/3 teaching assignment and will be expected to teach courses in the Technical / Professional Writing minor, undergraduate writing studies, graduate courses in the MA program, and courses in our First-Year Writing Program. Workload may involve night, weekend, and electronic course delivery.
The strongest candidates will have experience teaching in technology-rich environments, teaching online, integrating service-learning, and working successfully with underserved populations. We seek a scholar-teacher prepared to contribute to the ongoing development of a new writing studies emphasis within a diverse English curriculum.
