Assistant Professor, Professional Writing and/or Journalism
We invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Professional Writing and/or Journalism, beginning August 2006. Required: a PhD with a concentration in professional writing, rhetoric, and/or journalism and a demonstrated commitment to research and teaching. Responsibilities will include teaching such undergraduate and graduate courses as magazine writing, editing, journalism, professional writing, and rhetorical theory. Preference will be given to candidates experienced in teaching with technology. All tenure-line faculty participate in teaching basic studies courses in composition or literature. Candidates should expect to engage in an active and productive research agenda as well as contribute to departmental and college service.
