WPA-GO 2014 Graduate Committee Election

In July 2014, the WPA-GO Graduate Committee (GC) will say goodbye to members Jessica Nastal, Kathryn Trauth Taylor, Carolyn Wisniewski, & Courtney Adams Wooten. In order to maintain the 7-person GC as outlined in the WPA-GO Bylaws, we will elect 4 new GC members. Voting will take place for 2 weeks (January 16-31), & results will be announced in early February.

Call for Applications: 2014 CCCC Graduate Student Travel Grants

The Writing Program Administrators Graduate Student Organization (WPA-GO) & the Council of Writing Program Administrators (CWPA) are pleased to offer at least six travel grants of $100 each (plus admission to the CWPA Breakfast at CCCC) to current graduate students presenting at or in association with the 2014 Conference on College Composition & Communication, to be held March 19-22 in Indianapolis, IN.

WPA-GO Mixer in Savannah

The Writing Program Administrators-Graduate Student Organization (WPA-GO) is pleased to announce the 2013 CWPA Meet and Greet.

Join us in Savannah on Friday, July 19, at the Congress Street Social Club from 8:30-10:30pm. The Social Club offers live music, inside and outside seating areas, as well as pool tables, darts, and foosball. You'll find us on the second floor (see the address and directions below). We'll have a limited supply of drink vouchers and appetizers available -- come get them while they last! This event is a celebration for all WPA members and affiliates. 

2013 WPA-GO Graduate Committee Elections Results

It gives us great pleasure to announce the results of this year's WPA-GO Graduate Committee (GC) Election.

We had an incredibly strong pool of candidates this year, and we look forward to seeing the different roles that each of the six candidates will play in shaping the future of WPA-GO. We know that the GC would have been enriched by each person on the ballot. In the end, though, only three candidates could join the Graduate Committee this year.

Call for Applications: 2013 CWPA Summer Conference Travel Grants for Graduate Students

The Writing Program Administrators Graduate Student Organization (WPA-GO) and the Council of Writing Program Administrators (CWPA) are pleased to announce the offering of at least four travel grants of $100 each for current graduate students presenting at the 2013 Council of Writing Program Administrators Summer Conference, to be held in July 18-21, 2013 in Savannah, GA.. This year’s grants are sponsored by CWPA and Bedford/St. Martin’s.
