This 90-minute workshop invites WPAs and other Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies faculty to explore how the Generative AI cross-domain in the WPA Statement on the Five Knowledge Domains of First-Year Composition can inform programmatic and course-level learning outcomes. We will begin by discussing the 4P model—GenAI products, processes, policies, and public connections—as a way to examine the technology’s uses, limits, and consequences for writing instruction. Participants will then use a guided worksheet to connect the GenAI cross-domain to the five knowledge domains and draft outcomes suited to their institutional contexts. The session will leave participants with a starting point for aligning those outcomes with assignments, assessment, and course/programmatic goals.
