Full-time instructor position to teach professional writing for the
workplace. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in
professional writing and providing departmental committee and program
service. Minimum qualifications: M.A. in English, with two years
experience teaching professional writing or business communication at
the college or university level. Degree specialization in technical
and/or business communication or in composition and rhetoric

The Kansas Association of Teachers of English invites proposals for practical and experiential 45-minute sessions that explore students’ development as readers and writers both inside and outside our classrooms. The 2010 conference theme--"Going Public:

Kansas State University Assistant Professor in Composition/Rhetoric

Tenure-track position. Ph.D. in Composition/Rhetoric or related field, with Ph.D. in Composition/Rhetoric preferred. Demonstrated excellence in teaching, evidence of research and publication or its potential required. Areas of expertise should include one or more of the following: rhetoric, digital or new media, literacy studies, gender studies, and composition theory. Additional areas of interest include technical / professional writing, linguistics, and writing program administration. Opportunities to develop innovative interdisciplinary pedagogies and mentor graduate students.
