Best Book Award Committee
The Best Book Award Committee is charged with:
- Updating call and criteria for selection as needed and informed by changes in scholarship
- Soliciting nominees for the annual CWPA Best Book Award
- Seeking diverse nominations in topics and/or authors’ positionality
- Reaching out to authors whose work would fit the diversity requirements for nominations
- Selecting a recipient for the award from among the nominees

- Soliciting nominees for the annual CWPA Kenneth Bruffee Award, the award for the best article published in WPA: Writing Program Administration
- Unless such work was not published in the journal in the prior year, prioritizing articles on diversity topics\
- Selecting a recipient for the award from among the nominees

Mentoring Committee
The Mentoring Committee is charged with:
- Establishing a mentoring database with all willing mentors
- Establishing a more structured approach to mentoring (similar to the Coalition’s)
- Focusing on mid- and late-career WPAs’ mentoring needs (career shifts from WPA work to other administrative roles)

Recruitment Committee
The Recruitment Committee is charged with:
- Increasing membership in new and underserved populations within the organization
- Producing PR promotion materials for targeted audiences
- Connecting to individual formal and informal WPAs at all types of institutions
- Connecting to regional or national organizations for specific groups of WPAs: HBCU Consortium, TYCA regionals, SLACs, …
- Briefly surveying those individuals for 1) their expectations from CWPA, 2) reasons they do not join

WPA Outcomes Statement 4.0 Task Force
Members of the WPA OS 4.0 Revision Task Force are tasked with the following:
- Revising the current WPA OS 3.0 to be informed by a) recent scholarship in the field of Writing Studies, b) principles of social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, c) recent technological, social, and cultural changes that affect college students in first-year writing courses and beyond.
- Collecting feedback on the new OS draft from writing program administrators (WPAs) at a wide range of institutions.
- Documenting the process (e.g., resources, discussions, rationales) to be part of the history of that document.
- Submitting the final revision to CWPA Executive Board for discussion and approval.
- Offering in-person and virtual professional development workshops to WPAs to facilitate the use of the new OS in their local contexts.
