Director of Composition

Director of Composition: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor
The English Department seeks a Director of the Composition Program. Start date: August 2008. Duties include directing the Department's Composition Program, developing a practicum for graduate assistants in our new master’s program, and teaching writing courses from introductory to graduate levels. In addition to composition, course opportunities reflect the Department's interdisciplinary mix of composition, technical communication, integrated media, public relations, and journalism at the undergraduate and graduate levels. MWSU is a National Writing Project site. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric, Composition, or related English field; writing program administrative experience; familiarity with using technology to teach; and a record of successful teaching. Salary is commensurate with experience and rank.
