Assistant/Associate professor of English/Director QEP

Our Lady of the Lake College, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, invites applications for a full-time position as Assistant/Associate professor in English Composition/Director of the Quality Enhancement Plan with a year around work assignment. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in English, English Education, Linguistics or a relevant field. Requirements include: experience in teaching writing across disciplines; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others; demonstrated knowledge of writing pedagogy; and, experience in teaching and assessing writing in higher education. Responsibilities include teaching two sections of English Composition each long semester and assuming a leadership role in developing and implementing the College Quality Enhancement Plan that focuses on assessing and improving students’ writing skills. A commitment to diversity and an appreciation for Catholic higher education are required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Our Lady of the Lake College, an accredited private, Catholic institution which grants associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees, primarily in health related fields, serves approximately 2,000 students.
