Writing Technology Instruction Coordinator
(Long -Term Contract Teaching Professional)

Ten-month renewable faculty appointment with full benefits to begin July 1, 2009. The successful candidate will teach six courses primarily in first-year writing and professional and technical writing, and oversee department-specific academic technologies, faculty development, and related administrative functions. Necessary skills and qualifications: Master’s or Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition or related field, with successful experience in college writing instruction using academic technologies (experience in e-portfolios and faculty development in the use of instructional technology highly desirable).

Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse is a new, innovative department with a large first-year writing program, a minor in professional writing, a distinctive master's program, and an undergraduate major in formation (see http://las.depaul.edu/wrd).
