The Department of Humanities at Parkland College in Champaign, IL welcomes candidates for the following full-time, tenure track faculty position:

English (Faculty Fellowship Program) Minimum of a master’s degree in English or closely related field required. No prior teaching experience necessary. Teach English composition at the developmental and college-levels in a community college comprising rural and urban students. The preferred candidate will have experience with Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC). The successful candidate will be a composition generalist who: possesses strong interpersonal skills; is able to contribute innovative teaching strategies; is willing to teach online; demonstrates a commitment to academically engaging students from diverse cultures through the use of culturally competent strategies. The Department of Humanities especially seeks applicants who belong to groups traditionally underrepresented in this field and in this department at Parkland College.
