Instructor or Assistant Professor of English
Millikin University invites applications for a full-time faculty position as Instructor or tenure-track Assistant Professor of English to teach news and feature writing, along with first-year writing courses. Teaching responsibilities would include: (1) teaching the journalism track in the writing major, (2) advising Millikin's award-winning student newspaper, (3) teaching first-year writing courses (9 hours per semester plus advising). Master's Degree required for Instructor candidates; Ph.D. or ABD required for Assistant Professor candidates. Experience in journalism publication and clear record of teaching excellence required. Experience advising student publications preferred. Millikin seeks faculty dedicated to maintaining a tradition of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Salary competitive.
