Instructor/Assistant Professor of English Education
Millikin University invites applications for a full-time faculty position as Instructor or Assistant Professor of English Education. Master's Degree required for Instructor candidates; Ph.D. or Ed.D. required for Assistant Professor candidates. Teaching responsibilities (12 hours per semester) include first-year writing, adolescent literature, linguistics/grammar, methods courses in the teaching of English language arts, and supervision of student teaching. Millikin University’s Secondary English Education program is nationally recognized by the specialized professional association NCTE. Millikin’s School of Education has been recommended for national accreditation by NCATE. Position begins August 2010. Applicants must have a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the secondary/middle school level and Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in English Education or a closely related field.
