CV Writing Workshop at WPA 2011

WPA-GO is excited to announce the two-part CV-writing workshop being offered specifically for graduate students at the upcoming 2011 WPA Conference in Baton Rouge. The workshop, which is sponsored by WPA-GO, will be led by eminent WPAs Duane Roen and Joe Janangelo. And because these events are scheduled as conference presentation sessions, there is no additional cost for attending over and above the conference registration fee.

"Strategies for Constructing Effective CVs: Part 1" will be offered on Friday, July 15, from 1:30 to 2:45 in the Paramount Room at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol conference center. This session will provide an overview of helpful information about CV writing for graduate students who are preparing to go on the job market in the near future, or for those who are looking ahead to preparation for the job market down the road.

"Strategies for Constructing Effective CVs: Part 2" will take place on Saturday, July 16, from 1:30 to 2:45 in the Louisiana Room. This session will allow for peer review and feedback on CVs in process. It will be helpful for attendees to bring current drafts of their CVs to this session for review and response.

Please feel free to attend one or both of these very informative sessions. We hope this will be the first in a series of WPA-GO-sponsored professional development workshops for graduate students. So even if you can't attend this year's WPA conference, be on the lookout for future WPA-GO-sponsored workshops at later WPA conferences.
