WPA-GO Events at WPA 2011
Hello, WPA-GO Members and Friends,
It's time for the 2011 WPA Conference in Baton Rouge, and we have some exciting events to tell you about:
WPA-GO SIG: Friday, July, 15, 7:15 pm - 8:00 pm, Riverview A (Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center)
WPA-GO members and supporters, including all graduate students and faculty WPAs interested in fostering graduate student WPA work, are welcomed and encouraged to attend the WPA-GO Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting. Members of the WPA Graduate Committee will share updates about WPA-GO. There will also be time for open discussion, so bring your suggestions, comments, and questions. We'd love your help in shaping the future of WPA-GO.
WPA-GO Meet and Greet: Friday, July 15, 8:30 - 10:30, Boudreaux & Thibodeaux's
Later that night, faculty and graduate students are invited to join us at Boudreaux & Thibodeaux's for a WPA-GO Meet and Greet. You'll get to hang out and network with fellow graduate students and faculty WPAs while enjoying free live music by the band After 8, featuring funk, rock, hip-hop, jazz, and R&B. Southern-style appetizers will be provided, courtesy of CWPA and generous sponsorship by Hayden-McNeil. Boudreaux & Thibodeaux's is located just 1-1/2 blocks from the conference hotel at 214 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70801-1315. You can find more information about the venue here:
