Director of Public Relations and Marketing

Dickinson State University, a university with record enrollment increases for ten consecutive years, invites applications for the position of Director of Public Relations and Marketing. The Director reports to the President, serves on the President’s Cabinet, and is the chief communication officer for the University. The Director designs, communicates and directs a comprehensive marketing and public relations program; develops and executes marketing plans for specific projects; supervises the activities related to the University web page, the University cable access television channel, and the University News Bureau; advises the President on issues related to public affairs and campus communications; oversees campus publications and printing projects; and works with the Foundation staff on communications associated with fundraising.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a consistent commitment to excellence and the ability to interact with the full range of constituents. He/she must be energetic, entrepreneurial, creative, and eager to make a meaningful and substantial contribution to the University. Exemplary communication, planning, marketing, and leadership skills are essential. A bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and 3-5 years of increasing and related professional responsibility are required. The salary is very competitive with a comprehensive benefit package, including Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance and TIAA-CREF retirement.
