Assistant Professor of English at Park University
Park University's Department of English and Modern Languages is seeking an Assistant Professor of English (tenure-track negotiable) for our home campus in Parkville, Missouri. The position will start in August 2014. Duties include teaching a mix of first year composition, professional writing, and upper-level courses in rhetoric and composition theory to fulfill the University's 4/4 teaching load as well as engaging in scholarship and university service.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition or closely related field in-hand by August 2014, substantial classroom teaching experience, and a record of scholarship and university service.
Preferred Qualifications: Formal preparation and classroom experience working with English language learners and linguistically diverse students and the desire to support ongoing faculty development with workshops/training to enhance the teaching of writing across diverse disciplines and student populations.
