Composition Faculty, and Professional and Technical Communication Faculty (2 positions)

Oregon Tech, a member of the Oregon University System, seeks candidates for two full-time, tenure track positions in the Communication Department. Both are composition positions, one with an emphasis in first year composition and the other with an emphasis in professional and technical communication. Teaching opportunities include lower- and upper-division courses.

Minimum qualifications:
 Ph.D. in composition and/or professional and technical communication.
 Teaching experience in composition.
 Ability to work well with other disciplines and departments.

Preferred qualifications:
 Teaching experience in professional and technical communication, possibly including specialized upper-division technical communication courses (documentation development, editing, etc.).
 Teaching experience with non-traditional students and/or English Language Learners (ELL).
 Experience with writing assessment.
 Hands-on professional and technical communication experience in business, industry, and/or academe.
 Experience with publishing software (desktop, graphics, presentation).
 Activity in appropriate professional organizations.
 Evidence of publications/presentations.
