The WPA Graduate Organization (WPA-GO) invites presenters and discussion leaders to participate in our first Research/Writing Group (RWG) sessions at the 2014 CWPA Conference in Normal, IL. RWG @ CWPA is free and open to all CWPA Conference registrants.

RWG @ CWPA provides an opportunity for writing program researchers (graduate students, faculty, administrators, independent scholars, etc.) to discuss current works-in-progress at various stages of completion (from brainstorming to revision) and form lasting research/writing groups with fellow researchers from across the country.

RWG @ CWPA will consist of two sessions. Presenters will be placed in a different small, roundtable group for each session based on the focus of their work-in-progress and/or its stage of completion.

In each session, presenters will have five to seven minutes to share their works-in-progress and any related questions or concerns with their small group, with the remaining time devoted to discussion facilitated by the discussion leader.

In conclusion, RWG organizers will offer several ways to form and/or continue research/writing groups beyond the conference.

Schedule:

  • 1:00pm-1:10pm: Opening Remarks
  • 1:10pm-2:20pm: RWG 1
