Trinity College Full Time Position

We invite applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-track, contract renewable, faculty position with opportunities for advancement, beginning fall 2015. Undergraduate teaching responsibilities include first year composition and advanced courses in rhetoric and composition. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition by July 1, 2015 (or PhD in English with significant coursework or research in rhetoric and composition as well as teaching experience). Teaching load is 3/2. Initial two-year contract with 3-5 year contracts upon promotion. Competitive salary and benefits. Senior Lecturers and Principal Lecturers are eligible for a one-semester research leave.
The successful applicant will join a vibrant Writing Program and propose and develop courses in his or her area of expertise, serve on college and programmatic committees, advise students, and provide expertise in composition pedagogy to faculty and students across disciplines. Pedagogical approaches or expertise in digital humanities, digital rhetoric or multimodal writing is a plus.
