Assistant Professor of English (TT)

University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College, located in Blue Ash, Ohio, invites applications for one tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of English. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio offering primarily associate degrees, with an enrollment of approximately 5900 students. We are seeking an innovative, vibrant and dedicated teacher-scholar to join our department, teaching a combination of four writing classes each semester, including developmental, first-year, and intermediate composition. 

Position Description: Responsibilities for this position include: 1) teaching courses in our composition sequence; 2) participating in program assessment and curriculum development activities; 3) participating in department, college, and university service; 4) engaging in professional and scholarly activities.

Minimum Qualifications: The department seeks a person with a doctorate in English, Composition and Rhetoric, or a closely related field.  While the doctorate degree is preferred, ABD candidates making significant progress towards the terminal degree will be considered. Candidates must have at least three years of college teaching experience in developmental or first-year writing.  

Ideal Qualifications: A doctorate in English with specialization in Composition and Rhetoric or a doctorate in Composition and Rhetoric is preferred. Applicants should also have experience serving a diverse population of open-admissions undergraduates.
