Assistant Professor of English
York College, a senior college of the City University of New York, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure track) specializing in composition. Doctorate and primary research program in composition and rhetoric or a related field required, as well as two years teaching of writing at the college level. Course assignments include writing courses at both freshman and advanced levels; contract provides released time for research to tenure-track candidates. Experience with basic writing, ESL, WAC, and online teaching are assets. Candidates with experience and interest in writing program administration are especially desired.
