Search for Full-time Instructors Continues

Our search forfull-time Instructors continues--see the psoitions announcement beow. We will begin another round of review for applications received by July 15.

We expect to be able to offer new Instructors the same terms offered to continuing Instructors for the 2015-16 Academic Year: choice between a beginning salary of $36K for a 4/4 teaching load or beginning salary of $40K for a 5/5 teaching load.

Anticipated start date: August 2015

Required: By time of appointment, MA in Rhetoric and Composition or related discipline; minimum of three years of post-secondary teaching experience in composition; evidence of effective teaching.

Desired: By time of appointment, evidence of graduate coursework in Rhetoric and Composition, Second Language Writing theory, Basic Writing theory, and/or Professional Writing theory; Ph. D in Rhetoric and Composition or related discipline; evidence of theoretical grounding in writing studies and pedagogy in one or more of the following areas, in addition to related teaching experiences: second language writing, writing in the disciplines/English for academic purposes, developmental writing, workplace writing; evidence in participation in rhetoric/composition conferences or other relevant professional development; evidence of experience teaching multimedia composing or Internet and hybrid courses.

General Information: Teach five courses/semester in Writing Programs.
