Assistant Professor of English (Rhetoric and Composition): Indiana University Southeast
The English Program at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Indiana, seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English (Rhetoric and Composition) beginning in Fall 2016. Responsibilities include teaching a variety of undergraduate courses (3/3 load), including lower level general written communications courses and upper-level courses in the BA in English; contributing to curriculum development and assessment; serving as writing program administrator on a rotating basis (although not initially); and other departmental and campus service. Ph.D. in English or Rhetoric and Composition, a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and an active research agenda expected. The ideal candidate will have teaching and scholarly interests in at least one of the following areas: professional and technical writing, digital humanities, sociolinguistics, composition pedagogy, critical theory, and writing program administration.
