Two Visiting Assistant Professor positions at Manhattan College
Manhattan College seeks two visiting assistant professors or instructors for one-year positions starting in Fall 2013, renewable for three years. 3/4 annual course load composed primarily of writing courses (First Year Composition or Business Writing). ABD in composition/rhetoric or M.A./M.F.A. with demonstrated experience teaching composition required; Ph.D. preferred.
The qualified applicants will teach primarily in the English department’s First Year Composition program, teaching personal, critical, and research writing through self-selected themes. They will also have the opportunity to teach in our first year living and learning community, the Arches program, carving out space for service and experiential learning in their First Year Composition courses, if they so choose.
