Essential Functions: Teach four sections (12 credit hours) each semester in first-year writing sequence (ENGL 1010 and 1020: English Composition I and II) and perform departmental duties (e.g., committee participation).

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in English. Graduate coursework in composition pedagogy. College-level composition teaching experience. Experience teaching with technology.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD in English. Substantial graduate coursework in composition pedagogy. Evidence of recent excellence in composition instruction.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2017. One-year contract renewable up to three years.

Benefits Information: Benefits include the accumulation of one sick leave day per month and thirteen University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
