Writing Department Chair. Loyola College seeks, for a fulltime tenured position, a professor or associate professor to lead an established department (9 tenured faculty; 11 affiliate faculty; 1 writer-in-residence) offering a core course in composition, upper-division courses to support both a full writing major and an interdisciplinary writing major, writing-across-the-curriculum initiatives, and a writing center. A terminal degree (Ph.D. or M.F.A.) in writing or a writing-related field is required as well as demonstrated administrative experience in a liberal arts institution, a distinguished record of teaching (composition and other), and an extensive publication record.
