2006-2007 WPA Best Book Award: Call for Nominations
The Council of Writing Program Administrators is seeking nominations for its Best Book Award for 2006-2007. This award recognizes book authors or editors who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of writing program administration over the past two calendar years.
Award Requirements
- The book was published in 2006 or 2007.
- The book addresses one or more issues of long-term interest to administrators of writing programs in higher education.
- The book discusses theories, practices, or policies that contribute to a richer understanding of WPA work.
- The book shows sensitivity toward the situated contexts in which WPAs work.
- The book makes a significant contribution to the scholarship of writing program administration.
- The book will serve as a strong representative of the scholarship of and research on writing program administration.
Nominating Procedures
- Nomination should include three (3) copies of the book and three (3) copies of a letter of nomination.
- Letters of nomination should explain how the book meets the award requirements.
