Two Comp/Rhet faculty positions at MTSU

Middle Tennessee State University seeks applications for two tenure-track positions in Composition & Rhetoric (position # 123130 and 123185) beginning August 1, 2008; Assistant/Associate. Ph.D. by August 2008 in Composition/ Rhetoric or related field, with coursework and/or significant experience in one or more of the following areas: writing centers, National Writing Project site, or TA coordination. Other academic interests might include TESOL, grammar, technology, or program assessment. Candidates should be committed to undergraduate instruction in general education but can also expect opportunities for graduate teaching. Four-course (12-hour) teaching load per semester with possibility of reassigned time for administrative duties. Excellence in teaching, research/creative activity, and service will be expected for all positions. MTSU seeks candidates committed to using integrative technologies in teaching. Experience teaching freshman composition and/or literature desirable.
