WPA-GO 2016 Graduate Committee Election

In July 2016, the Council of Writing Program Administrators (CWPA) Graduate Committee (GC) will say goodbye to members Logan Bearden (Florida State University), Christina LaVecchia (University of Cincinnati), and current Chair, Kat Daily O'Meara (Arizona State University).

On behalf of the WPA-GO Graduate Committee (GC) and the Elections subcommittee, we invite you and/or your graduate student colleagues to consider a nomination for the 2016 GC elections.   Please find attached below is the Call For Nominations letter and the Nomination Form, which include all of the instructions for nominating.   

2013 WPA-GO Graduate Committee Elections Results

It gives us great pleasure to announce the results of this year's WPA-GO Graduate Committee (GC) Election.

We had an incredibly strong pool of candidates this year, and we look forward to seeing the different roles that each of the six candidates will play in shaping the future of WPA-GO. We know that the GC would have been enriched by each person on the ballot. In the end, though, only three candidates could join the Graduate Committee this year.

In July 2013, the WPA-Graduate Student Organization (WPA-GO) Graduate Committee will say goodbye to current members Tim Dougherty, Laurie A. Pinkert, and Patti Poblete; therefore, in order to maintain the 7-person GC as outlined in the WPA-GO Bylaws, we will elect three new GC members this year.

Call for Nominations for CWPA Executive Board Elections

In July 2012 the CWPA Executive Board will say goodbye to members Darsie Bowden, DePaul University; Doug Downs, Montana State University; and Chuck Paine, University of New Mexico. We therefore invite nominations for three new Executive Board members.

The Executive Board oversees the CWPA, its events, and its activities; creates policies and procedures for its management; and engages in special projects and initiatives. The new Executive Board members will serve for three years, with terms beginning in July 2012.

CWPA elections - VOTE!

CWPA election voting tokens were distributed to members today. If your membership is current, you should have received a voting token via email. This is an important election! We're choosing a new Vice President (who will succeed to President) and three Executive Board members. If you haven't yet had a chance, review the candidates' statements and then cast your ballots. Your vote is important!
