Lecturer in English, Clayton State University, Atlanta, GA

The Department of English at Clayton State University (Morrow, GA near Atlanta) is seeking applicants for a full-time renewable lecturer in English, specializing in rhetoric and composition, to teach First-Year Writing and Learning Support courses. The position will begin on August 1, 2015. Salary will be commensurate with experience and competitive with comparable programs. The successful candidate will teach First-Year Writing courses, Learning Support courses, and possibly upper level majors’ courses (in writing concentration) as needed.

First-year writing

The Yeshiva College English Department is in the process of re-thinking its composition program- and its first-year experience in general.

We're already piloting a course in which we pair composition with another subject, but we're also interested in themed composition classes, as well as having students take a writing course in their discipline. We'd like to invite outside speakers who've had experience with any or all of the above. Has anyone got ideas on good people for this?

Many thanks.
